Well…my first blog post was on 02/20/04 01:51 am so I missed the official birthday by a few days, but close enough right?

The Superbrowser – Firefox with 100 Extensions
Yesterday I decided to undertake an experiment. My favourite browser, Firefox, allows its users to add extensions. Currently 1148 extensions are available at Mozilla update. I decided to install 100 of the most popular extensions at the same time…
Someone with just a little bit too much free time…
Google Links and Google Calendar
I was bored and so nosed around the source of Gmail and I found some code refering to bookmarks/links – the resulting page says:
Nothing too fancy here, I thought. Just links to other Google Services: Blogger, orkut, Groups, Image search, etc. But, one of the links you can add is Google CL2 – A calendar for you and the world

Google (and many other search engines) has the ability not only to search on keywords, but also using a more “database-ish” query language to really narrow down your search results. Below is a summary of a few of the most useful lesser known features.
I learned a few new things after reading this, I am sure most people will at least learn something.
It’s been a little while since I took a break for ‘normal’ css and turned my mind to trivial puzzles so I have now corrected this and produced the above offering.
This is similar to a previous puzzle where you start off at the bottom center and move, according to which paths are made available, in an attempt to get to the middle grassy square.
Enjoy, I have yet to actually win this game. Let me know if you figure it out.
Live Design – Step by Step Site Creation
Follow through the steps to watch (and learn) how a site is created using HTML and CSS. Pretty cool stuff.
Textorizer – Vectorise a Picture Using Text Strings
This tool takes as input an image in PNG format (left), as well as a text file containing some text, and produces an SVG file which reconstructs the original image using parts of the text scattered around (right). If you’re confused about what to do with the SVG file, download Firefox or Opera which will display them for you.
Fairly useless, but kinda interesting nonetheless. Oh yeah, Warning Firefox will have a heart attack when you try to open some of the SVG images. (at least mine did).
