Vista 5259 Screenshots
Update: According to a TAP group member, there are major bugs that have been found in build 5259 of Windows Vista by TAP testers.
As a result, Microsoft is working on compiling a new build. At this stage, Build 5262 is likely to be released on either Monday or Tuesday. It is also possible that Microsoft will release build 5259 “as is” on Monday or Tuesday, but advise people with specific configurations to be aware of the major issues.
Sorry for the recent site problems. I’ve been seeing all kinds of weird statistics as of late. Apparently the site has been under attack for spammers trying to use this site for a scam called “referral spam”. Basically what is going on is this: the spam site in question visits my site, this is then added to the “recent referring sites” and then my site gets crawled by google. The link to this spam site then increases the spam sites ranking according to google. The really cute thing is my bandwidth gets destroyed in the process. So hopefully I may have fixed this, I guess we’ll wait and see. Thank you for your understanding.
“In the latest saga over online gaming addiction in China, the parents of a 13-year-old Tianjin boy are suing the makers of World of Warcraft, blaming the game for the death of their son, according to the Chinese news agency Xinhua. The parents filed a suit against Blizzard Entertainment on Wednesday, saying their son jumped to his death while reenacting a scene from the game, the report said. The parents are backed by the anti-Internet addiction advocate Zhang Chunliang. Mr. Chunliang has spoken to 63 parents whose children have allegedly suffered from online gaming addiction and plans to file a class-action suit, according to the report.”
I find it both sad and pathetically amusing that someone can try and blame a video game for their son’s suicide. I’ll say it, and yes, I know it’s not “niceâ€. If your child is stupid enough to jump out a window because he thinks he is in a video game…well, it’s pretty much survival of the fittest.
Nature is weeding out those who are dumb.
The fact that the child is or isn’t a moron is not really the point of this article. The pathetic and ludicrous attempt by the parents to attempt to blame the video game producer is the real focus of this article. They are trying to say that the video game company is at fault. It’s the fault of the company for producing a game that is apparently addicting. I hope to all God the judge who hears this case laugh’s at this class-action suit. I love the fact that they are “blaming the game for the death of their son†…hmm, most people would blame the child or even more likely, bad parenting. Did you spend enough time with your kid? Did you talk to your kid enough? Why was your kid dumb enough to be reenacting part of a video game in real life? That sounds like your son may have been crying out for attention, but perhaps that is just my interpretation.
I definitely can’t sit still. I don’t know the last time i was so nervous and so excited about something. Lara is coming today. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. I think I slept for a grand total of about 3 hours last night because I kept waking up looking at the clock hoping it was much later than it was. Be productive at work today? Heh….try and keep busy, and try to not look at the clock every 10 minutes. That challenge isn’t going so well, though I may have managed to improve a bit, I think it’s only every 15 minutes or so. I definitely do not need coffee today…I don’t think I would be able to function at all if you add that to the equation. Yeesh. focus. go do something and DON’T look at the damn clock!
