I am still around, I promise. Really.
Well it’s definitely been a while since an updated post. A lot has happened the past few weeks and I realized after the fact that I probably should have posted something about not being around. For that I do apologize.
So what have I been up to? Where did I go? Well here is the abbreviated version to spare you all the boring details. Boston (4), Cape Cod (3), Rhode Island (6), Rochester (10) , Rhode Island (1)…lol…The number in parenthesis is the rough number of days at each place. Some how (the math is off) all that added up to slightly more than 3 weeks with my wonderful girl. It was great, had an amazing time, saw some amazing things, and definitely didn’t want to leave her or go back to work.
What’s up right now? Well, there was some issues with an update to the blog software, but they issued another update that fixed all the problems I just mentioned.Soo …if you stumbled across the blog and saw it in it’s horribly ugly and completely messed up state then I apologize, things should be back to normal *knocks on wood*. Much to my wonderful surprise, a hard drive that I’ve been having constant problems with finally bit the metaphoric dust so I need to get my data off it and send it back to the company while the warranty still exists. It’s not a huge deal as I can still get at all my data, but it’s definitely a huge pain in the ass to have to reinstall Windows and reinstall all my applications. On that same topic, I am going to be getting a new hard drive to replace the faulty one. I was about to get a 100GB drive for $140 from a local store when just out of pure luck I checked on Newegg and found a 320GB drive for $125…clearly that makes sense right? 3x the space for $15 less…ah yes, it still amazes me thatNewegg can possibly be making a profit. So once this drive arrives it will bring my total storage capacity up to a laughable 894GB of storage…not including the 80GB of storage on my server. Yeah, that’s a little ridiculous, I’ll admit it….Anyways. Then the joyous process of reinstalling windows, all my applications, copying over files…blah blah blah. I can’t wait.
There doesn’t appear to be any other long trips away from the land of blogging in the near future, so I’m back and hopefully you’re still reading this.
