Google Set to Offer Payment Service to Compete With eBay’s PayPal
Exact details of the search company’s planned service are not known. But the knowledgeable people say it could have similarities with PayPal, which allows consumers to pay for purchases on Web sites by funding electronic-payment accounts from their credit cards or checking accounts.
Am I the only who finds this a little scary? Now google not only is analyzing your search habits, storing (and reading) your gmail, but also they will have (in theory) all of your online financial information as well…Yeah, I don’t think I will be using there service any time in the near future.
And people accuse Microsoft of trying to take over the world. Yeesh.
