Tired and alone,

Again I go unnoticed.

Would you even notice if I disapeared?

It’s hard to accept that you don’t miss me,

Like I miss you.

You live your life,

I live mine,

At what point will they have diverged too far?

I can’t explain this feeling,

Until you feel this hollowness,

this emptiness,

this loneliness,

You can’t understand.

I spend life being pessimistic,

You get hurt less if you expect less.

That doesn’t mean I want to be like this,

It’s just what I am used to being.

I suppose it could just be a coicidence,

bad timing,

stranger things have happened,

but it still hurts right now anyways.

Pardon my Absense

The short version of a long, less than interesting story is this…I got one of these amazing Exos-AL External Water Cooling systems for my computer…The installation was a breeze. I cut the tubing, took out the motherboard, installed the new CPU waterblock, jump started the Exos and began filling the water pump and getting the air out of the system…and then I hit the power button on the system and nada, nothing, squat.

This is the same problem I had before when I bought and installed my Zalman cooling heatsink 120mm fan…Apparently something on my motherboard is very tempermental. Some part of the motherboard is either touching the case or something similar because my computer apparently shorts (short circuits) out whenever I try to turn it on.

Long story short, I am taking it to get looked at and fixed Monday morning…grar. Annoying much, but it will be very cool when my Pentium 4 Prescott will be running at 30ºC …that will be freaking amazing.

Once I get everything back into working order I will post some pictures of this bad boy in action. Check back (soon I hope).

New Scientist Life: Life’s top 10 greatest inventions

PONDER this one in the bath. Chances are you’ve just scrubbed your back with a choice example of one of evolution’s greatest inventions. Or at least, a good plastic copy.

Sponges are a key example of multicellular life, an innovation that transformed living things from solitary cells into fantastically complex bodies. It was such a great move, it evolved at least 16 different times. Animals, land plants, fungi and algae all joined in.
