A Wonderful Day

Today was very blah. It was really hectic and busy and on top

of that wonderfulness I felt like crap. my head’s pounding, my stomach

is gross and I’ve felt really light headed all day. Oh yeah, I failed

at what I do best also …I wasn’t able to fix a friend of our’s

wireless internet, so that was annoying. As you can easily tell, I am

in a crummy mood. I am sorry. I may just go in the hot tub and then plop

down on the couch and relax…chances are that I will fall asleep, I am

freakin exhausted for some reason.

Six Apart – CSS and XHTML Site Redesign

Six Apart

The folks at Six Apart have redesigned their company site. As per the new standard, the new site is done in XHTML 1.0 transitional with CSS for layout. I don’t know about you guys but they look more like an official business now more than ever and I think that’s exactly what they were after here.

About time they entered the age of CSS and standards compliance…yeesh.

mezzoblue – CMYK for Those Who Do RGB

mezzoblue – CMYK for Those Who Do RGB

Since web geeks think in pixels and RGB, it’s a daunting new world to head into unequipped. Over the years across quite a few print jobs by now, I’ve had to learn by trial and error. As someone used to thinking in RGB, I’ve looked high and low for a good resource to turn to for help in converting that knowledge to CMYK.

I am such a (web) design nerd…

IE7 – Betas Coming this Summer

IE7 – Betas Coming this Summer

Today at RSA, Bill Gates talked about Internet Explorer 7. As the guy responsible for IE, I wanted to say a couple of things about it.

First, some basics: we’re committing to deliver a new version of Internet Explorer for Windows XP customers. Betas of IE7 will be available this summer. This new release will build on the work we did in Windows XP SP2 and (among other things) go further to defend users from phishing as well as deceptive or malicious software.

It was a busy day at MS…now we just need an announcement about Longhorn and the Antivirus software they are working on… cool smile

BetaNews | MS AntiSpyware Free for Personal Use

MS AntiSpyware Free for Personal Use

Speaking at the RSA Conference Tuesday, Microsoft chairman Bill Gates said the company’s recently released anti-spyware product will remain free for personal use.

“Just as spyware is something that we have to nip down today, we have decided that all licensed Windows users should have that protection at no charge,” Gates said.

Very smart move on MS’s part…saves them the hassle of listening to everyone bitch about it being due to a flaw in Windows ______ (insert name of current version).

Microsoft Windows XP Reduced Media Edition

It’s official, this is the name Microsoft decided to go with. Screw the EU. You made your bed, you won (somehow), now lie in it. Just to clarify for anyone who missed this. The EU won a suit against Microsoft requiring them to remove Windows Media Player from Windows XP. Microsoft decided on this very appealing name intentionally. They don’t actually want anyone to buy this idotic version.

It’s official, the EU is a bunch of morons. Don’t like that comment? Deal.
