The Mac Mini: Less Than You Think

The Mac Mini: Less Than You Think

The Mac Mini is certainly cheap—for a Macintosh. But for your $499, you get a system with a 40GB hard drive, 256MB of DDR333 memory and an ATI Radeon 9200 with an execrable 32MB of video memory. The only reason you even get a 9200 is that Apple’s chipsets lack integrated video.

This article echoes a lot of what I’ve been thinking regarding the amazing new Mac Mini. It’s overrated, underpowered, and just another example of people throwing themselves at anything Apple. It really is quite sad.
