Paul Thurrott’s SuperSite for Windows: Microsoft Anti-Spyware Preview

Microsoft Anti-Spyware Preview

I’ll be talking to Microsoft soon about its anti-spyware plans, and the company will ship a public beta of its Giant AntiSpyware-derived anti-spyware solution before the end of January 2005, so I’ll be looking at that to see whether it’s any different from the product I’m already using.

This could be a very good move for the common user if MS does this right. It’s good to read that MS has taken it personally that adware and spyware are taking advantage of holes in there OS. Can’t wait for the first beta…

The Song Game

[Update] Well, seeing as I apparently have absolutely no ghetto friends I decided I would just give out the answers at this point because there is no chance of any more correction answers coming in. An yes, only the 2 crossed out songs were guessed correctly. lol. LOL

Following a friends suggestion here goes nothing, here is partial lyrics to 10 (I will make this torture short) songs on my playlist entitled “Party it Up” (hint hint)…

  • Tupac – Thug Mansion 1. There ain’t no place I’d better be / Chillin’ with homies and family / sky high mansion in paradise / In the sky.
  • Tribe Called Quest – Can I Kick it? 2. You’ll be doing us a really big favor / Boy this track really has a lot of flavor / When it comes to rhythms, quest is your savior
  • Beastie Boys – Girls 3. I like the way they walk / and it’s chill to hear them talk
  • Kelis – Milkshake 4. la la-la la la / warm it up. / lala-lalala / the boys are waiting
  • Justin Timberlake – Like I Love You 6. You’re a good girl and that’s what makes me trust ya / Late at night, I talk to you / You will know the difference when I touch you
  • Fugees – Ready or Not 8. Ready Or Not, Here I Come, You Can’t Hide / Gonna Find You and Make you want me.
  • DMX – We Right Here 9. Bring it! What? / We right here / We’re not goin anywhere
  • Big Boi – The Way You Move 10. Ready for action, nip it in the bud / We never relaxin’, Outkast is everlastin’

Just about to go to bed…

So here is the problem, I can’t decide between getting Worlds of Warcraft or not. I’ve read a bunch of reviews and they all basically say this: “it’s amazing, and the only problem with the game is the fact that you have other things in life to do besides play this game”….that’s a pretty glowing compliment. I guess I will have the time, it wouldn’t hurt to try it, the first month is free anyways.

The plan for tomorrow goes like this, get up around 9:30, shower and leave the house by 10. Chill at Barnes and Noble’s reading there books (instead of buying them) and then eventually head over to the mall to get presents for my mother and my father. Then home to grab some lunch and then back out to see Polar Express at the iMax theater with my mother…it sounds like a nice relaxing Sunday to me…lol blank stare

    Home Finally

It feels strange to be home. It feels very odd that the semester is already over. It really is funny how while you’re living it time seems to just crawl and crawl, but once you have an opportunity to look back at it things really did fly by. Anyways, I drove home…4 hours I might add cool smile I made damn good time. There was very little traffic compared to usually which was definitely a plus. I got out unpacked and resituated before having an amazing home cook dinner with a nice glass of wine. After a little bit of tv I was officially bored. lol, yes, already.  LOL

Now, I am off to sleep soon and then lots of procrastinated Christmas shopping tomorrow morning. I’ve been putting this off for a bit too long, and granted I still have over a week, but the malls are just going to get worse each day close to Xmas.

Boy do I ever need a haircut as well. Perhaps I’ll actually get that tomorrow morning before the Christmas shopping happens. I’ve been debating shaving or not (for thoughs of you who have seen I’ve been growing out a bit of facial hair for, well basically the first time ever). It’s itchy as hell, but it’s growing on me (both literally and figuratively).  rasberry

And on that terrible pun I am off to bed.

    Anarchy Online – Now Free!

    Anarchy Online – Now Free!

Um, Oh Hell Yes! … I was a beta tester for this oringally. I loved the game during testing, and needless to say I was rather sad when testing ended and there was no free copy or anything provided to testers. I just can’t seem to justify a monthly fee game. This…this is great. Best of both worlds. And just in time now that finals are over.

Now you can experience Anarchy Online totally free of charge. You don’t pay for the software. You don’t pay any subscription. All we ask is that you register prior to January 15th. How about that for a Christmas present!

In Case Anyone Has Yet to Hear Mosh by Eminem

I finally got around to listening to this song, and I must admit it’s rather well, pretty accurate to my feelings. In particular these lines express a lot of my feelings:

Let the president answer a higher anarchy

Strap him with an Ak-47, let him go, fight his own war

Let him impress daddy that way

No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil

No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain’t loyal

If we don’t serve our own country, we’re patronizing a hero

Look in his eyes its all lies

The stars and stripes, they’ve been swiped, washed out and wiped

And replaced with his own face, Mosh now or die

If I get sniped tonight you know why,

Cause I told you to fight.
