U.S. Inspires World with Attempt at Democratic Election

I found this both encouraging and sad at the same time. Encouraging in that we can inspire others by showing our faith in our system which has been less than warmly received as of late. Sad in that our votes should not even have to be considered to be of importance. There should be no chance that they will be “lost or misplaces.” That is not the America I believe I live in, even though I know I am kidding myself. Ah…ignorance is bliss
